So people with expertise in Information Technology are sometimes regarded in the same way as unscrupulous car mechanics, suspected of using a superior understanding to unfair advantage.
It is disappointing that some people involved in IT services seek to further confuse and obfuscate things by adding regularly to the unfathomable jargon that already exists.
The randomly generated phrases on the right hand side of this site illustrate the point. Originally made for fun, it has actually became apparent that almost every sentence (and there are 159,831 possible permutations) was a potentially credible buzzphrase.
The Bottom Line
A business seldom buys software, invests in a network or commissions a website for prestige, notoriety or to feel good about themselves. It is an investment on which you expect a return. Which is why, while 'evolving viral partnerships' or 'benchmarking compelling infomediaries' are admirable sentiments, their actual merit will always be measured against the original investment.
